Welcome to the Department of Linguistics and Technical Communication at the University of North Texas. This department is truly one of a kind in that it blends the practitioners of spoken language with the designers of written communication. The Linguistics and Technical Communication faculty focus their research and teaching on the scientific study of language and the examination of writing techniques which clarify and enhance verbal and written communication.

The Department of Linguistics and Technical Communication is located in Auditorium room 317. The department office is generally open 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday during the academic year.
